Women’s Society of Christian Service
Women’s Society of Christian Service (fondly referred to as WSCS) is the women’s wing of the Indiranagar Methodist Church (IMC). It’s key purposes are:
- To unite and bring women of all ages together and help them grow in their walk with Christ
- To support the downtrodden (both within and outside the church) in their sickness by prayer support and contributing towards their medical bills
- Reach out and support an orphanage
The theme decided for this year is ‘The Father’s Heart’. As a group, we plan to reach out to those among us (women and their families in IMC) who need the God’s touch, The Father’s touch to intervene in their lives. Through the year, the committee arranges various seminars, day long retreats and testimony sharing sessions to encourage and uplift women and help them feel the Father’s touch personally.
To meet the various financial needs of the hospital ministry of the WSCS, we plan to raise the funds through events like:
- Sunday Breakfast sales
- Food fest
- Christmas bazaar
One of the key strengths of this group is the unity it fosters among women to stand in the gap and intercede for each other and for various other needs. We strongly encourage each of the women in IMC to be a part of this group and be blessed. You are encouraged to bring along your friends who may or may not be members of this church as well. To be a part of the WSCS, please get in touch with the WSCS President, Mrs. Usha Jones (Phone # - 9740394222).
The WSCS Fellowship happens on the third Saturday of every month from 4.30 PM – 5.30 PM at the Parish Hall, IMC. Looking forward to see you there!
